cos (A+B) =cos A cos B - sin A sin B now put A=x and B=pi/2
but its cos (x-pi/2) not addition?
sorry, B = -pi/2 or u can use cos (A-B) = cos A cos B +sin A sin B

so the rhs cancels ans ur left with 1 *sin x which is equal to sinx
thats correct :)
cos x cos pi/2+sin x sin pi/2 = cos x (0)+sin x (1) = sin x
