Suppose u, v are implicit functions of independent variables x, y connected by the functional relations : F(u, v, x, y) =0 and G(u, v, x, y) =0 now partially differentiate F and G w.r.t x ¤F/¤x + ¤F/¤u * ¤u/¤x + ¤F/¤v * ¤v/¤x=0 i want to know why is ¤y/¤x=0??
