Hi, maybe this book can help you: http://www.openisbn.com/preview/1843393166/ "Treatment Of Micropollutants In Water And Wastewater (Integrated Environmental Technology Series)"

thanks! I'll read it online =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Generally the pathogenic microorganisms are removed, and heavy metals (harmful) and together to these actions the contro of nutrients should be done, to avoid excessive proliferation of microorganisms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When it comes to waste-water the most important micro-pollutant are microbes especially the protozoan Cryptosporidium spp. because they are highly resistant to some treatment chemicals (e.g, chlorine) and they possess the ability to survive outside a host for days without having impaired infectivity and can also reproduce as fast as viruses. Cryptospidium hominis is associated with cryptosporidiosis in humans (causing fever, diarrhea, nausea and other BAD THINGS!!).
