If you want to get an estimate based on statistical averages, you can go to many users' profiles and make note of their score, how long they've been on OS, the number of questions asked, answered, medal counts, etc. and try to work out an empirical formula.

Yep. You can simplify by only considering a couple numbers at a time and looking for correlations.
Might be a fun project to work on statistics an model-fitting.
