The Louisiana Purchase holds a great deal of importance in the American history, primarily because the United States of America purchased the territory Louisiana from France at $ 15 million (around 4 cents/acre) which helped increase the overall boundary of U.S.A. and opened up the chances for its west-ward expansion.
