OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

Choose the correct description of the graph of the inequality x

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

@Brandonperez305 @AriPotta

OpenStudy (aripotta):

will it be a closed or open circle?

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

closed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the first criteria of each one is whether it is an open or a closed circle. When something is not = to something it means it cannot be a point on that dot which is an open circle. This rules out 2 and 4. The next criteria is whether it is shading on the left or right. Since it is less than 3 the shading would be on the left hand side.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

right, so it's either b or d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait. Are you sure its closed? When its not equal to?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

</= is how she writes less than or equal to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1351397938664:dw| Right, my bad.

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

so its shading to the left??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. Because its less than. It would be on the right if it was greater than.

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

so its B

OpenStudy (aripotta):
