You take off running down the hall and make a quick left turn. Just as you do this, your teacher gets to the top of the stairs and comes running after you. Fortunately she neglects to turn left and keeps going. if she's moving at 8 ft/sec, and you're moving at 15 ft/sec, how fast are you moving apart 10 sec after she misses the turn, assuming you were 25 ft away when she got to the turn?

(answer: 16.9681 ft/sec)
