First question, just cross multiply and find w. Second question, think it is third option.

OpenStudy (faman39):

I just posted one question, those all option of that

OpenStudy (faman39):

other i still did not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the basic idea for the parallelogram question is that the ratio of the size of corresponding sides of first shape to the the corresponding sides on the 2nd is 1:4. You just look at each answer choice... if the two sides shown are corresponding sides, then the ratio will still be 1:4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the third choice, side MJ corresponds to side SC -- they are both the middle letters in each shape... so the ratio should be 1:4... but it's listed as 4:1.

OpenStudy (faman39):

Thank you so much @JakeV8 !!! :)

Always glad to help... does it make sense how to look at this problem? The key is that if they tell you two corresponding sides have a ratio of whatever, then ALL corresponding sides should have that same ratio BECAUSE the problem says as a "given" that the two shapes are similar. Similar shapes have corresponding sides that are always in some constant ratio.

OpenStudy (faman39):

got it ok, so far :) i really bad in this part, corresponding ratios all this geometry stuff, gosh why cant get it all easily? lol anyways :) Thanks alot @JakeV8 !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I never thought it was easy :) You get better with practice.. then you move on out of geometry! :)

OpenStudy (faman39):

I think, i m gonna fail in the test :) lol dont know, why?

OpenStudy (faman39):

I m really sucks at it :) may be , becuz of that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that could be a reason :) Maybe you aren't as bad as you think?

OpenStudy (faman39):

But thanks alot @JakeV8 , becuz of you, just got it little bit better than b4, i guess, still not sure

OpenStudy (faman39):

may be i m bad :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have another question? That would be easier to help with than discussing if you are bad :)

OpenStudy (faman39):

ok yes, i have few more .
