Do you know the midpoint formula?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no i don't know it
OpenStudy (anonymous):
That's how it looks.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So, (-4 + -8) divided by 2 is how you find the X variable.

And (-9 + -5) divided by 2 is how you find the Y variable.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so its -8
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-8,-7
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Let me check your answer, hold on.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes, that's the midpoint. Good job.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
(-4, -4) , (-6, -7)
(-6, -4) ,(-4, -7)
these are my answer chocies
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Hmmmmm. Hold on a minute.
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so I know the problem. It seems that we both relied on the google calculator, perhaps? Haha.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
First, add the numbers with a calculator. Then when you get the answer, divide.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
For example...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-4 + -8 is -12.
then divide it by 2.
This leaves us with -6 as the x variable.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Try finding the Y variable.

(-6,-7)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-9 + -5 = -14.
Divided by 2, you get -7.
So the answer is (-6 , -7)
Sorry for the inconvenience. :/

Good job!

@Kaji thank you
