Find the direct variation equation of the graph through the points (0, 0) and (1, -2). Write in y=kx form.
y = 2x
y = -2x
y = 1/2 x
y = -1/2 x
please helkp me to figure out how to do this! please and thanks!

you know it looks like \(y=kx\) you just don't know \(k\)
but if you make \(x=1,y=-2\) you get \(-2=k\times 1=k\) so you know \(k=-2\) and the equation is \(y=-2x\)
