how would you factor this problem... 10x^4+32x^3+6x

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

first find the greatest common factor of the 3 terms gcf of 10, 32 and 6 is 2 gcf of x^4, x^3 and x is ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x ^{4}\] ?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

no x^4 is not a factor of x but x is a factor of x^4 and of x^3

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

so GCF is 2x so take 2x outside the parentheses = 2x(5x^3 + 16x^2 + 3)
