can some one help me with the question plz... what is the H.C.F of 25, 36 and 45

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Until you get a feel for the factors of common numbers, its best to list all of the factors of numbers, and then look to see which one is greatest. Like so: 25: 1,5,25 36: 1,2,3,4,6,9,12,18,36 45: 1,5,9,45 So the greatest number that all three of these sets have in common is 5, so the HCF is 5 (also known as the GCF, greatest common factor)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you mean 25, (35) and 45? if so its 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, sorry. Yea, Jessica Moore and I were thinking on the same terms. The HGF is 1 with the numbers you gave us, 5 if the middle number is 35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope its 36 not 35 @julianstanley

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then the greatest number all 3 of them have in common is the number 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remember that all numbers have a factor of 1, and themselves. Because 1 times any number is itself.

okay thnx @julianstanley
