I've been given the coordinates: (1,0), (3,0) and (2,-1) and been told to draw a graph of y=f(x+5). I know it moves to the left in the x direction. Is it only the x values that change? Or both?

y values stay the same, x values change:)

If y stays the same when you input a different x, then all you have to do is add five to x and plot the new coordinates:

(1 + 5, 0)
(3 + 5, 0)
(2 + 5, -1)
