How do I solve this problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The vertices of a triangle are P(–4, –6), Q(–5, –6), and R(2, 6). Name the vertices of the image reflected across the line y = x.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

reflection along y=x changes the coordinates of point from (x, y) to (y, x) so, P(-4, -6) changes to P'(-6, -4)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

apply the same rule for other two vertices

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

just swap x y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see, thanks for clarifying :) but the signs don't change?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

no, sign doesnt change

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats y=x line,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thanks again :)
