Trig identity help?

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

\[\frac{{ - 6{{\left( {\cos \left( t \right)} \right)}^2} \cdot \sin \left( t \right)}}{{6{{\left( {\sin \left( t \right)} \right)}^2} \cdot \cos \left( t \right)}} =- \cot(t)\]

hartnn (hartnn):

just cancel, 6,sint and cos t, from numerator and denominator, what remains ?

OpenStudy (klimenkov):

Can you simplify fractions?

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

oh man...

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

how did I not see that... embarrassing.. thanks for the help

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

hey @hartnn, when taking second derivatives of parametric curves, we use a formula like:|dw:1351710488694:dw| I am allowed to just take the derivative of -cot(t) or do I have to use y dot and x dot??
