If C = {integers divisible by 2 from 1 to 20} and D = {integers divisible by 6 from 1 to 25}, what is C ∩ D? {2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24} {6, 12, 18} {6, 12, 18, 24} { }

If you are having a hard time getting this one, it would probably help you to list out the elements of sets C and D. C = {integers divisible by 2 from 1 to 20} So C includes numbers like 2, 4, 6, etc. Do the same for set D... Then the intersection C ∩ D is the set of elements that belong to both C and D.

still confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

list out all the numbers from 1 to 20 that you can divide evenly by 2. This would be the even numbers...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so iht would be A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then list all the numbers that you can divide evenly by 6 that are between 1 and 25... this would be like 6, 12, 18, and 24. Then compare the numbers in the first list with the numbers in this second list. Any numbers that you find in both lists are part of your answer. My connection is really flaky... I'm going to drop off... good luck with this one :) I will check it later.
