Estimating slope of a graph without a grid? Slope of (0,0) to (3,6) ? Slope of (0,2) to (6,3) ? Slope of (1,0) to (6,6) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first number the sides with ruler(centimeters/inches depending on problem)and you plot in coordinates and remember that x horizontal

goes first

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

you do not need to graph anything in order to find the slope between two given points. the slope is just the change in y divided by the change in x. e.g. the slope of a line between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) would be: slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
