The number of terms in the expansion of (1+3x+3x^2+x^3)^6 is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is already expanded...?

OpenStudy (dls):

sorry corrected

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The 6 outside of the () is supposed to be to the power I presume. If such then it would be expanded as such x^18+18 x^17+153 x^16+816 x^15+3060 x^14+8568 x^13+18564 x^12+31824 x^11+43758 x^10+48620 x^9+43758 x^8+31824 x^7+18564 x^6+8568 x^5+3060 x^4+816 x^3+153 x^2+18 x+1 Which is the same as (x+1)^18

OpenStudy (sirm3d):

the number of terms is 19. there is no need to expand.

OpenStudy (dls):

@sirm3d how?

OpenStudy (dls):

@Algebraic!
