Most of the users want, including you (if you care about OpenStudy), this:

Music group should NOT count as a part of your SmartScore.

Yeah, this is a serious request. All the users in Music group are there only for fun.
Fun shouldn't count as your SmartScore. And I am sure that the so-called "musicians" don't care about their SmartScore either—just fun.

And it'd make an infinitesimal difference to the chatters here on OpenStudy if the Music group is renamed to "Misc," or "Fun".

I'm not entirely convinced. Either Music should be a group or it shouldn't. I don't feel this is a convincing argument for a halfway compromise. (Not to mention the fact that it's incredibly difficult from a technical standpoint.)

I've seen questions there that were academic questions. Its not JUST for people to post their 'raps' and get medals.

I agree that \(something\) should be done about the music group. 1/5 questions are not academic. There is also lots of cussing and rule breaking throughout.

I've tried taking care of the cussing, but they dont listen to anyone...except a mod..

But if Music chat is deleted, then Math becomes like Music.

Parth, music is totally fine. At least it has academic questions, and thats gotta count for something.

Welp, I just took a look at the music group.
Out of all the open and closed questions from the past week, there are about seven academic ones. And they are all unanswered.
So yeah, I don't think the music group is "totally fine." Something really does need to be done about it.

something's wrong with the statistics here...... 1/20 is actually the fraction of academic questions. try it yourself. count the number of questions until you find an academic question
