An after-school club had 14 girls and 12 boys. Then 6 more girls and 8 more boys signed up. Did the ratio of girls to boys stay the same? A) Yes B) No

OpenStudy (nikolas):

Find the original ratio and compare it to the new one :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is b but do you know how to figure this out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ratio is not equal before the new students and is equal afterwards (making them different)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you add the 6 to the 14 and the 8 to the 12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well yes but then you have to simplify both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the numbers when simplified are not the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU! I got an A on this! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D can you help with mine or did you not have geometry yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can try. I don't have geo yet but I can surly give it my best shot!
