Which inequality represents the solutions to a over five + 3 < 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ a }{ 5 }+3 < 5\] Reverse division of 5 by multiplication of 5;\[\frac{ a }{ 5 }+3\times5 < 5\times5\] \[a+3<25\] Subtract 3 from both sides; \[a+3-3<25-3\] \[a <22\]

a < 10 a > 10 a < 40 a > 40

I would think a < 40 because if a is < 22 and 22 is < 40 then a is < 40.

Which equation is solved by multiplying both sides by zero point two? zero point two times z equals two z plus zero point two equals two z minus zero point two equals two z divided by zero point two equals two
