How many images will be formed if two mirrors are fitted on adjacent wall and one mirror on ceiling? a- 5 b-7 c- 11 d-2 and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The only thing that matters for finding the number of images produced, when there are two mirrors, is the angle between the mirrors. The formula needed is given by n=[360∘/θ]−1 n=3:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought that the answer is 3 but it do not exist in the choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, isn't. The answer is 7. 3 due to the two adjacent walls at 90o and 4 images on the ceiling. Hint. Remember this is not only two adjacent walls

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why there is four images on the ceiling?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these 3 imgs formed by the combnation of the 2 adjacent walls in addition with the object itself will act as objects for the ceiling mirror

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you
