It was a Sunday afternoon as my family and I were in a car going to my cousin's house. We waited behind a car for our turn to turn left and continue driving to their house. Cars from the opposite direction were passing by because they had a green light. Soon the green light turned red. The Jeep in front of us proceeded to go straight to get to the other side of the street. What he was trying to do was an illegal maneuver. There were no cars going left nor right so he just drove forward. 

As he was in the middle of the road, a motocycle was going from the left. The Jeep kept on going because it most likely was in his blank spot. The Jeep blocked the way for the motocycle, and he didnt' have enough time or space to break. For the next five seconds, all I heard was a loud "BOOM!" It didn't sound pleasant at all. As the car hit the motocycle, the guy flew across the street. He landed on his stomach, hitting his head against the hard cement. There is more but i just dont feel like writing more.

I have absolutely no idea. I'd say rewrite it so that the accident happens at the beginning and then you explain why it happened.

It was an ordinary day in almost all respects. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and life was grand. But then something happened that is indelibly marked in my mind. Something like this, perhaps?
