How do you say party in spanish?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you mean the noun, like a party you go to at night: fiesta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Party \to Fiesta\]

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

or, if you mean a group of people: Partido.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not at all.^ Partido = game A game of soccer. Un partido de fútbol.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

o_O bing translate really DOES suck then.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I just needed some confirmation on that one, and you just about proved my point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha, yeah I don't suggest google/bing translate. (:

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Going over your spanish lessons helps. However, practice and getting used to listening to Spanish is the best way for it to click in your mind. (:

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

My spanish lessons haven't covered the word "party" I don't think. At least not the group of people one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Party (noun) is Fiesta. If you want to say something like, "Lets go party" you would say, "Vamos de fiesta".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fiesta

OpenStudy (andreadbc):

It's both, depending on the context... (political party = partido político birthday party = fiesta de cumpleaños)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's a good point. ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Party = Fiesta
