Use a graphing calculator to find the zeros to be 1, 3, -3, -2
So what does that tell you?
i don't have a graphing calcualtor ;(
and idk what it tells me haha :P but i thought it was like the last one but it didn't seem exactly the same so i thought it was FALSE, is it FALSE?
@jim_thompson5910 ???
the lower bound is -1 (supposedly)...so the smallest zero SHOULD be -1 but we get -3 as a zero
what does that mean then?? this statement is FALSE?? :) WAs i right>? :)
if I told you that I have a list of numbers and I gave you the smallest number...but you determined there was a smaller number (smaller than my "smallest" number), this would be equivalent to what we are doing
oh oaky :) so ???
what do we do now??
Example: I have the list of numbers 1, 2, 3, 4. I claim that the smallest number is 1. So the lower bound of this list is 1. BUT say you find out that 0 is also in this list (and it was hiding somehow). This would make my claim false because 1 is NOT a lower bound (there's clearly something below the "smallest" number)
therefore it is FALSE right??
it is, using this reasoning
okay thanks :)
