Please Show Me Step By Step :) *** Solve for X **** 1.) ax + 2xy = 14 2.) x/a = y/b 3.) 2m - nx = x+4 *** Solve For H *** 4.) this one i had to make an attachment

Are these separate equations..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is # 4please help! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take x common for the first...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay and I got m = 2, n = -1 is that correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure you should not have gotten an answer with the information you have. They just want you to manipulate the equations to get nice f(x) functions. 1) ax+2xy=14 \[2xy=14-ax\] \[y=\frac{ 14-ax }{ 2x } = \frac{ 7 }{ x }-\frac{ a }{ 2}\] 2)\[\frac{ xb }{ a }=y\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay so are these the answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are good answers, I'm not sure if they're the answers you're looking for. I studied in french before university, so I'm not used to the precalculus (if that's the course) vocabulary in english

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's certain is that you cannot get discrete values for x, y, m, n or v with only what you've shown us

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the course is Variables and Expressions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they answers would either be the ones I gave you, or 1)\[x=\frac{ 14 }{ 2y+a }\] 2)\[x=\frac{ ay }{ b }\] if this makes sense to you, you should be able to do the other 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay and it does

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good!
