Research the space elevator concept. Consider the environment in which the cable must operate. Recommend two physical, and one chemical property that the cable should have. Justify your choices.

I just spent 10 minutes replying and accidentally hope page , so I'll keep it brief .

Chemically inert , especially to u.v , gamma rays ect .

It should have high tensile strength and be able to absorb , dampen vibrations and definitely not be brittle .

I'm just getting into physics and physical chem , so I probably omitted some stuff or made a mistake , so perhaps someone more knowledgeable in physics can add or correct .
