What is the answer to this expression? 3a^5+a^3+a^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will give you a medal if you answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2 (1+a+3 a^3) So a = 0. and a = -0.53656516467

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, just simlpify. I don't need what a equals. The top is simplified?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@natalie135's factoring is correct, but don't set it equal to zero... the problem didn't have that in it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That could be simplified furthur to a^2 (1+a (1+3 a^2))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need it simplified.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would have said your original statement was simplified. But if you want it factored, I would go with @natalie135's first response. The 2nd is ok, but it looks less simple, in my opinion :)

Okay, thanks.
