._.
@JakeV8, i only have the outline done :/
i'll work on the actual essay now. i'm really embarrassed that it took me that long just to get the outline done
almost done jake :)
the outline took longer than the actual essay lol
is that good? :o would you change anything?
Ari, can I get back to you tomorrow sometime on it? I can't be up much later (and it's already sorta kinda late where you are). But I'll take a look. If you can make some updates or fill in anything else, just post it as an update and I'll catch that too.
oh ok :/
oh, and my teacher loved that journal thing!
you don't have to submit it tonight, do you? It's midnight on Friday night and all... Heh... pirates, ahoy!
no i don't, i just wanted it done tonight so i could go to another assignment. i didn't even realize it was friday! you probably have plans! i'm so sorry
I have plans to sleep, early day tomorrow. no apologies needed :)
More work, less OpenStudy... that's your assignment for Saturday ;) Catch you tomorrow sometime...
alright, look at that whenever you have some time. i'll work on another assignment. good night :)
and thanks!
and please! lol. i sound so rude
you mah bestie <3
you need rest.. ;) Leave the question open and I'll keep looking at it...
mmk :)
he said it could be similar, just not the same. i think my essay's better...but that's just my opinion :)
who is "he", your teacher?
yea, he posted this on his site. well, it was actually a powerpoint. i wouldn't have known about it, but i googled the question for some ideas and this came up
heh... I googled "McLuhan diffusion" for background and this question came up...
what do you think about the need for 2 examples for each section? Your prompt seems pretty clear on that, but his sample only includes the Coke example for global village and doesn't give an example of contagious diffusion.
exactly, that's why i thought i did pretty good on it
but if he only had one...i can have only one too, right?
I wouldn't make that leap of faith... to easy for him to say "that was just an example, not permission to deviate from the prompt". Plus it's your grade... his example doesn't have to play by his rules :) (File that gem of wisdom under the category "Life is not fair.")
:/ ok
Let me take another quick look at your essay...
|dw:1351979088929:dw|
|dw:1351979403415:dw|
could i say that?
oh, you were considering those aspects as separate examples... I see.
(didn't know you were drawing... thought you must be typing a novel or something)
lol sorry
i thought it would better if i drew that so you could understand better
Do you have a sense of the appropriate length of this assignment? Is it another thing with a few paragraphs and 6 sentences or so each?
i think it has to be 3 paragraphs...i'm not sure though. the teacher's was 3 paragraphs...
it doesn't say exactly. it just says "Write a response to the question that fully answers each part of the prompt." so, in actuality, it could be one paragraph as long as it answers the whole prompt lol
Hard to know if less is better. I would tend to think you shouldn't cut this too short... of course, I don't know what the teacher expects beyond what you just said.
do you want me to post the grading rubric?
yeah, with that rubric, one paragraph isn't a good idea.
lol i was joking with the one paragraph
Glad to hear it... you were starting to worry me :)
