no just increase because if u start from the left it increases one on the y axis then increases one on the x axis then one on the y then one on the x and so on do u see now

so because of this the function is it increases one on the y axis then increases one on the x axis then one on the y then one on the x and so on do u see now and that it is a function because no two y coordanites are the same and no two x coordinates are the same.
