solve the system using any algebraic method 4x-y=4 and x+2y=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but you must use the substition method or the elimination method. I suggest using the elimination method.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does anyone know how yo solve this equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

using the elimination method?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you multiply the first equation by 2, you can eliminate y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use both methods..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the next step after eliminating y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put value of y in any equation then you'll get the value of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the exact work show so i can check my answer for the whole thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry its not allowed here...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll post the question again, so you can write out the work shown for the equation!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jst eq 1 by 2...and add the eq 2 to it...u ll get the value of x...put tht in any eq. u ll get the value of y.... x=2 ,y=4
