Divide. Write the answer in lowest terms. ((z^2+7z+10)/(z^2+9z+14))/((z^2+5z)/(z^2+17z+70)) If possible explain the steps. Thanks

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you need to factorise the quadratics then when you flip and multiply the 2nd fraction you'll see some common factors that can be cancelled.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have done that and my answer is still wrong. ((z+2)(z+10))/((z+2)(z+7))/((z^2+5z)/(z+10)(z+7)) =(z+10)^2/(z^2+5z)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... now use the fun for dividing by a fraction, flip the denominator and multiply check your factorising |dw:1351977058580:dw|

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

cancel common factors for your answer |dw:1351977177810:dw|
