Teams from two colleges competed in a 10 km cross-country race. The data below show the finish times in minutes for the two teams. Team A: 28, 30, 30, 30, 30, 28, 35, 34, 25, 35 Team B: 30, 32, 30, 29, 26, 30, 27, 32, 28, 32 Find the mean and the range of the data for Team A and for Team B. Use your results to compare the two teams.
do you know what the definitions of mean and range are?
This is also for those who doing Ashworth schooling. This isn't all for me, but yes I do understand what mean and range are love. xx
*who are
the range is the largest number minus the smallest number so for team A, the range is 35-25 = 10 for team B, its 32-26 = 6
the mean is the sum of all the numbers divided by how many numbers there are for team A its (28+30+30+30+30+28+35+34+25+35)/10 for team B its (30+32+30+29+26+30+27+32+28+32)/10
