I dont understand how the violations of completeness assumption can lead to apparent inconsistency

Completness basically means that you are completely certain about your preference between two bundles of goods, and you are not idifferent between two. Hence, you base your model on this assumption. The violation of competness will therefore lead to inconsistency in models ( you would basically come up with different model each time ).
