Solve for x. Round your answer to 2 decimal places. A right triangle is shown with the hypotenuse labeled x. One angle has a measure of thirty two degrees, and the opposite leg has a length of seven.

Does SOH-CAH-TOA help?

U have an angle, hypotenous, and opposite length as well as what CalebBeavers has said

You have the opposite side to the angle and need to find the hypotenuse. Sin of an angle=opposite/hypotenuse Sin 32=7/x

Solve for x

That's what I did, ended up with 3.71, but apparently it was an incorrect answer :l

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply both sides by x. sin32(x)=7 divide both sides by sin 32 x=7/sin 32 what does that give you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13.21 right?

Oh, sorry. Wasn't sure how to set it up then. Thanks!!
