ok... so y = x^2   the x^2 is a perfect square as the parabola only contacts the x-axis at x = 0, so the root is x = 0

so you need a perfect square that has a root at  x = -10

when translating a graph horizontally, replace every x in the expression by $$(x-a)$$ where a is positive (negative) when translating to the right (left)
