Determine whether the series converges or diverges....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\ \frac{ 3^{n-1} }{ n^2+9 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think I might have just solved it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

made an error with exponents, 3^n / 3^(n-1) = 3, not 3^-1, correct?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK, I used the ratio test and I believe they diverge with the limit = 3

OpenStudy (turingtest):

It is divergent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

welcome!
