The moment of inertia of a body is 3.0 kgm^2. When its angular velocity is 6.0 rad/s, what is its rotational kinetic energy in Joules?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[I=3\]\[w=6\]\[KE_{rotational}=\frac{Iw^2}{2}\] Notice how this is exactly the same as linear KE, but m -> I and v -> w
