For blank 1: substitute -5 in for the x in the equation, thus you should get -2(-5)+4=14 For blank 2: find the slope of the line of the two points they give. So, using the points (3,7) and (-2, -8). The slope comes out to be 3. So now using point slope formula and simplifying to standard form, your equation is 3x+9
