i need help solving 2x+y=10 thanks guys y=x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve equation by substitution \[3x-y=0\] \[5x=2y=-44\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, so first you would move the "Y" to the other side, giving you:\[3x=y\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After that, plug 3x in for y: \[5x = 2(3x) = -44\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5x= 6x +44\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now solve, then plug whatever you get for x into where we got Y
