can someone explain the electron transport chain please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The electron transport chain is the chain that is located in the plasma membrane. It is used in both photosynthesis and cellular respiration. The chain is used to pass the electrons through the transport molecules of different levels in order to obtain NADPH in photosynthesis or NADH in cellular respiration.
