I'm not sure what to do Place indicated product in the proper location on the grid. (x + y + 3)(x + y - 4)? The blanks are like this: x _ _ 2x _ + _ _ _ x _ _ _ 1 _ _ _ _ _

My answer is x^2+2xy - 4x + y^2 - 4y, but that doesn't fit.

Help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks like you didnt multiply out the polynomials all the way...you should have a -12 term in it somewhere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I think I'll just keep working on this after I finish some more homework.. I'm having a block somewhere.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the polynomial you get is x^2+2xy-x-y+y^2-12. you just have to figure out how to fit that into the spaces. idk why theres 20 spaces and only 18 things to fit (unless they consider -x to be -1x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to re-arrange the product that i gave to match whats given and the spaces

Ok, there can be left over blanks sometimes. Thanks!
