how to know this function continuous f(x,y)=(x+y)/(x-y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it can only be discontinuous if the denominator approaches 0 and the over all function approaches infinity since for the denominator to approach 0 is that x=y which is not possible as x and y are different hence this is a continuous function! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

owww........means that x=y will make the denominator approach to zero right......tq

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also x=0 and y=0 simultaniously

ok take note.....
