Increasing a motor's magnetic field could decrease its speed but increase torque?

My logic was if a motor's magnetic field would increase it can possibly increase speed and torque, yet then I contradict myself and say the B-EMF would reduce speed. However, the back-emf would cause the input power to give more current to the motor, it would act as a resistance and the power input has to overcome it... I'm wondering is it true when increasing a motor's magnetic field it reduces its speed and maybe its torque? Could anyone shed some light into this matter?
