Linda was selling tickets for the school play. She sold a total of 210 tickets. She sold 10 more adult tickets than childrens tickets and she sold twice as many senior tickts as childrens tickets. How many tickets she she sell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure you wrote it correctly because it already says how many tickets she sold = 210

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many of each ticket did she sell

set up three equations with three unknowns and solve... can you set any of the equations up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, don't even know how to start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the first thing you need to do is define your variables... these are the things you are trying to solve for... there are three unknown things we are trying to find out so we let a = adult tickets c = children tickets s = senior tickets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we do not know what the value of each of them are so that is why we set them up as variables. you with me so far?
