what is the common denominators of 5/6 and 7/8
Common denominator refers to the first number these to different denominators may have in common.
the question says write these fractions so that they have common denominators then compare the fraction
Ok, so find the common denominator. DO you know how to do that?
yes i was just asking for the answer but nevermind
We are not supposed to give answers, we are supposed to help you get the right answer on your own.
You can figure it out. But good luck asking others for the answer
try timesing the two together and simplifying it. also I can't help but suck at my spelling.
oh and Brittni0605 I agree with you completely but I think we should give her/him a better hint to get to the answer... like telling them the process that way they can do it again... giving an answer won't help but helping them get there will... right? ...right?
Yes Guyofreckoning, but she says and I quote " i was just asking for the answer but nevermind"
the common denominator is 24
8x3=24 6x4=24
work is shown
ah... well then... at least she got it? didn't learn much I don't think... but at least she got her answer...
Sigh, she got her answer.
not much for teachers huh?
What? @Guyofreckoning
we didn't quite help her learn more of did nothing... at all... she just used the answer given probably... unless she took the high road... but uhh... I kinda doubt that.. besides open study is like helping to teach people to learn these things... so we didn't really teach her...
mind helping me on my question? I can't wrap my head around these things without a good mental pictture or something... it's geometry...
Agreed..I can try to help you with your geometry. I currently take AP Calculus, so geometry is fuzzy..lol.
lol... my question is really wierd... it's from connections... 24. line BD bisects <ABC. m<ABC=8x. <ABD = 2x + 22. Find m<DBC. (2 points)
btw thnks
Maybe it would help if you drew a pic for yourself
well I don't even know where to start... I'm usually really good at math but this is stumping me really hard... I have all my usual learning conditions set and it just comes out all fuzzy... it's usually really simple but I can't visualize any of this... I made sure that all my OCD's were in check and everything <_>
Lol..hmm..
hmm... I have it drawn out kinda but it's wierd... like its not right... I have an angle bisected... the ray is going outwards and then the letters I think are whats wrong.... where is B supposed to go?
show me your pic
