how do you find the weight when given the height and the GPE?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

gravitational potential energy = mass* height * acceleration due to gravity \[GPE=m*g*H\] therefore \[H=\frac{ GPE }{ m*g }\] where m is mass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also - you must realise that weight is \[mass \times g\] so you want \[weight = \frac{ GPE }{ h }\]
