Determine if the points given are collinear: (-3,-3), (-1,0), (3,2). I worked out the problem and came up with a NO answer, can anyone double check this for me?
How did you work it? Did you come up with equations, or did you graph the points?
I graphed the points. (I haven't done math in 20 years and my instructor is not easy to follow, so I am sorta teaching myself at this point. Any and all help is much appreciated.
If you can tell easily from the graph (as long as it is reasonably accurate). That should be enough to make a decision. If it doesn't ask you to justify your decision, then I think that is good enough.
Cool. Are you available for a little bit here, or do I have to 'post' post every question? (Again, I am new to this type of tutoring and don't know the formalities)
It's best to post each new question as a separate thread.
Sometimes, if there are two or three very similar questions (like exactly the same, just the numbers have changed), then they can be taken care of in a single thread of discussion.
OK ~ that will work for me. Thank you
