Ok is there any good way to learn the hormonal control of female reproductive cycles (menstrual cycle and ovarian cycle) by heart ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of like like the heart my have to pump more or something.... usually you can tell by like grumpiness and stressing out over nothing... so usually mellow dramticness :P

I just think i write if the questions pops: Women are made of fairy dust that suddenly make them change in appearance, behavior and and extreme desire for sexual intercourse. Done deal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P xD lol but yeah :P because there is a menstrual fairy flying around sprinkling magical dust to change them :) :D good this teaches u a bunch ^^

no just that i need to learn how FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone work and how corpus luteum is stimulated and all that crap. have made a minor figure to help me but still damn hard.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

a remembering model... that might just be what i need

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you now have a girl here so ask away, but this is an akward talk soooo. Estrogen is what keeps the womens "downstairs hair" growing or healthy and not gray 0.0...... and the progesterone is a steroid hormone released by the corpus luteum that stimulates the uterus to prepare for pregnancy 0.0..... and the other two not sooo sure but i can ask google

OpenStudy (frostbite):

well can say FSH is a shorten for Follikel Stimulating Hormon and does what it say LH is Luteinizing Hormone. But let me see if I can remember what happens: Hypothalamus release GnRH which stimulate anterior pituitary and release in small amounts FSH and LH. The FSH stimulate the follicle so it grow with the help from LH, the cells that grow the follicle create estradiol which incresse to higher levels. when LH and FSH get to the peak concentration ovulation happens. Now becuae of the LH concentraion LH converte the ovary into a corpus luteum and the corpus luteum is being degenerated by progesterone.... hmmm need something beside that the small blood vessels in the endometrium contrict and then release blood that is shed along with endometrial tissue and fluid.
