what is the solution of the inequality x^2+2x>15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Get 15 over to the left side (by subtracting 15 from each side) and then factor. Check for "zeros". That is, you will get two values of x that will satisfy the inequality if you cahnged the greater than sign to an equal sign (just for working the problem and only temporarily). The number line will then be divided into 3 areas. Get to this step and then we'll continue.
